Experience an 8-day "Panorama" guided train tour through the famous Copper Canyon! Bigger and deeper than the Grand Canyon, home to one of the world's great train rides, and full of cultural and natural history--the Copper Canyon is truly one-of-a-kind amazing. Trip itinerary: Day 1: Transfer from the Los Mochis airport to El Fuerte to spend the night. Day 2: Float the Fuerte River to the "Cerro de la Mascara" petroglyphs. Day 3: Ride the famous Chepe Train, featuring 37 bridges and 86 tunnels in dramatic mountain scenery. Day 4: Visit Copper Canyon Adventure Park and view great vistas of three canyons. Day 5: Transfer to the unique Hotel San Isidro Lodge, located in a picturesque side canyon. Day 6: Meet local Raramuri in Porochi. Then, ride to Cerro Gallegos, the finest overlook in the Canyon. Day 7: Return to El Fuerte via the Express train, viewing the best scenery a second time. Day 8: Transfer to Los Mochis airport and depart. You may be paired with other travelers, though lodging will be private. Stay at the Hotel Mansion El Serrano (Nights 1, 2 & 7), Hotel Mansion Tarahumara (Nights 3 & 4), and San Isidro Lodge (Nights 5 & 6), or similar hotels.
